Dallas is a borough located in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. It was named after Vice President George M. Dallas and was incorporated in 1879. The borough was originally settled by the Susquehannock Native American tribe, and European settlers arrived in the late 18th century.

During the American Revolution, Dallas was the site of several skirmishes between local militias and British soldiers. The town was also a stop on the Underground Railroad, and several homes in the area were used as safe houses for runaway slaves.
